Egypt immediately sprung up in our minds as we thought Egypt holidays would be a great excuse to educate our children about Ancient Egypt while enjoying the Egyptian sun and the lovely North African weather. So in order to get ourselves ready for our Egypt holiday project, this year we have spent a lot of time studying Egyptian history. We even tried to incorporate hieroglyphics into our lives and went to the lengths of mummifying a chicken carcass. The boys are already looking forward to riding a camel. I searched around looking all availabe options for Egypt holidays and hotels on the Internet to see what information I could gather.

The choices looked so amazing and varied that my husband and I had a hard time making our minds up. Then, something we never considered came up; Nile Cruises! So, on a Nile Cruise we go! A good friend recommended I go on a cycling holiday for my next vacation as he has been doing them for years. I love the idea of exploring a beautiful country on my own pedal power! Now I’m not exactly ‘Mr. Fit’ but my friend recommended a cycling tours firm which he has used in the past. They are called Pedaltours and have been doing bike tours in various countries since the mid 80’s.

I’ve mentioned by very average fitness level and it shouldn’t be a problem as tours can be run at various paces and they even have a bus that I can rest in if I get too tired.

I think I’ll visit the doctor though just to be sure I do not have any major health problems as I am really not too keen on keeling over half way through the bike tour!

Now I have to check out some affordable cycles on the net. Wish me luck!

We should take a vacation pretty soon. I am not too sure where we could go but I have been spending a lot of time on the internet looking up possible places. I know that we do not really want to go to a cold climate because it is the dead of winter right now where we live. Instead of that, I have been considering getting one of those villas in Tenerife. It just sounds perfect to go visit there. We could leave the children with their grandparents and have a nice trip. It would be just the two of us and we have not done that in a very long time. In fact, I know it was before we even had kids that we last took a trip like that. The kids are going to have a blast with their grandparents. I just know they will spoil them until we come home.
