When it comes to termites one thing that you want to make sure is that you reduce the amount of moisture around your house. Termites are drawn to moisture and are more apt to feed on a house that has an excess amount of it around the perimeter. There are a lot of things you can do to reduce moisture around the house. First make sure that your gutters and drainage systems are working properly so that rain water is diverted away from the house. Also make sure that the dirt and soil around your house are porous and allows water to travel within it as well. Finally you can make sure that you do a termite inspection every so often so that you can get on top of the problem before it really starts to get bad. Termites can number in the tens of thousands and its important to make sure you get them all.
